On 7 September 2024, Lviv will launch a new cultural and research institution that documents Russia’s war against Ukraine and facilitates intellectual exchange between Ukraine and the wider world.
INDEX: Institute for Documentation and Exchange is an ambitious project originating from the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna (IWM). For almost a decade, the IWM has been amplifying Ukrainian voices and documenting Ukrainian experiences through the Ukraine in European Dialogue and Documenting Ukraine programmes.
The founding of INDEX, a Ukrainian intellectual and cultural institution, is not only a response to the full-scale war but also a signal of durability and commitment.
The event will include an intellectual exchange between prominent representatives of the Ukrainian and international academic and art scenes. The names of our distinguished speakers will soon be announced via the INDEX social media channels.
Amidst Russia's war against Ukraine, supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces is fundamental for a stable future vision.
