In the autumn, we welcomed the Fellows of the joint INDEX and IWM (Institute for the Humanities in Vienna) programme to Lviv.
The programme brought together researchers, cultural practitioners, and journalists from Ukraine and abroad. During the semester, the Fellows worked on documentary projects, held discussions and poetry readings on online and offline platforms, recorded the consequences of Russia's war against Ukraine in different regions of the country, and shared the results of their work with the media.
More information about the programme is available here.
Below, we invite you to read and watch interviews with the INDEX Fellows.

Interview for Radio Khartiia
"The war has changed my sense of time and space a lot, it seems to have fallen apart," says Bohdan Bunchak, an artist, veteran, and INDEX Fellow. In the issue of Circular Defence, he talks about his experience of war through art.
"We really see how Russia is using history as a weapon," states Kristina Hook, an anthropologist and scholar.
In an interview with Alla Koshlyak, media researcher Johana Kotišová explains how emotional involvement can help to produce quality journalism, why she came to Ukraine, and what the editorial offices of the largest Western media outlets can learn from Ukrainian journalists.
We would like to remind you that applications for the Victoria Amelina Fellowship for writers from Ukraine and abroad are open until 1 January.
