INDEX is Hiring: Social Media Manager
INDEX: Institute for Documentation and Exchange is a cultural and research centre in Lviv, established to strengthen the Ukrainian intellectual vanguard and deepen global knowledge about Ukraine. The Institute documents Ukrainian experiences of the Russian invasion and fosters international intellectual exchange through fellowships and residencies for researchers and cultural practitioners from Ukraine and abroad.
INDEX runs 4 core programmes and continuously expands its project portfolio. Other key initiatives include Narysy, an online magazine by the organisation's community, major annual events such as The Most Documented War symposium and Victoria Day, smaller-scale events within the programmes, as well as documentary and commemorative exhibitions.
Currently, INDEX is looking for an SMM to help us develop the organisation’s public presence on our online platforms, as well as analyse the communication results of our work.
Responsibilities:
Managing the organisation’s public pages: preparing and publishing visuals, posts, and other formats across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn);
Engaging with mentions and comments on these platforms in alignment with the organisation’s Tone of Voice;
Analysing and implementing trends and new formats relevant to the organisation’s target audience across various platforms;
Developing an SMM strategy, unifying INDEX’s visual identity across its own pages and in communications with partners, and managing the content plan;
Repackaging the INDEX knowledge base into formats suitable for public platforms (converting workshops/lectures into text, recording videos for social media, etc.);
Website management;
Writing and layout of the monthly newsletter and quarterly online magazine Narysy;
Tracking website, newsletter, and social media analytics, and processing insights to continuously improve the content strategy.
Requirements:
At least two years of experience in SMM;
Copywriting skills, particularly for different platforms and target audiences;
Experience creating visuals and creative formats (particularly videos) for social media, understanding of Reels, Shorts, and Stories trends;
Proficiency in content management platforms: basic skills in Canva/Figma and mobile video editors;
Ability to track and analyse social media analytics (Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, LinkedIn Analytics);
English proficiency at B2 level;
Experience in the public or cultural sector would be an advantage.
